A tried and trusted old rhubarb variety that's reliable and easy to grow, with sweet and delicious slender stems
A good choice for forcing to produce pink-tinged stalks - or grow unforced for a deeper red colour
Early variety - harvest from the second year onwards, between April and June
Fully hardy and long lived, you'll be picking rhubarb from these plants for around ten years
Perfect for a sunny border, vegetable bed, allotment or even a large container
Delicious in pies, crumbles and jams
Only eat the stalks - rhubarb leaves are poisonous to humans and pets
