- We think it's a shame that weeping trees are named as they are, given the size of the smiles they plant on our faces!
- With its alluring purple foliage and elegant, downwards-sweeping branches, 'Purpurea Pendula' works fabulously as a feature tree in smaller gardens, thanks to its relatively compact ultimate height
- Whether you plant your beech in a bed or plonk it right in the middle of your lawn, it's guaranteed to make an impact throughout the year (even adding architectural interest when its branches are bare in the winter)
- Fully hardy, low maintenance and easy to grow, tolerating a wide range of soil conditions, this charming ornamental tree really does have everything going for it
- Our trees are usually between 18 and 36 months old at the time of dispatch
- Our trees are professionally pruned before dispatching. This formative pruning can involve cutting the main leader, if the expert tree growers decide this will produce a better shaped tree. This can stop the tree becoming "leggy", and promote stronger, bushier growth
- Please note that young trees often don't have a weeping shape, particularly when they arrive early in the year after being pruned - but hold tight and that unique form will develop over time
